Sorry

I’m sorry I wasn’t good enough

I’m sorry that my friend was

I’m sorry that I ever loved you but didn’t show it

I’m sorry my friend was your second choice

I’m sorry I wasn’t good enough,

I’m sorry that I couldn’t see that my boyfriend was better to you than better to me

I’m sorry I stood in the way of your happiness because I cared about mine

im sorry I couldn’t see

I’m sorry i never noticed what you guys were doing to me

I’m sorry that I can’t love you or her and never trust again because

I never thought the worse pain would come from people I called a friend

I’m sorry I let my heart lead the way to what eyes and mind should have seen

I’m sorry I’m insecure but I’m not the only one that knows what that means

I wish you would have came to me before you started this whole charade,

you should have came to me before you played me like a game

you should have come to me as a friend

I would have put your feelings first in the end

I would have cared enough to step back and let you take the lead

I care about what you want and not what I may need but

you didn’t respect me enough you let your hatred speak and thanks to that acts you left me weak

Now that I’m weak and sore from the knife you stabbed me with

I will slowly give up and care for the wound you cause

i will forgive just give me a pause

I will forgive but never forget

i will look at the world now with a different mindset
