Sorry


Dear Younger Me,

I'm sorry you never pushed yourself.

I'm sorry you never tried anything new.

I'm sorry you never did half the things you wanted to.

I'm sorry you never thought you were good enough.

I'm sorry that life was tough on you.

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry...

But now,

I'm not sorry that you were safe inside your boundaries.

I'm not sorry you enjoyed the things you liked.

I'm not sorry you did half the things you wanted to.

I'm not sorry that you found ways to improve yourself.

I'm not sorry that you became stronger through the tough times in life. 

I'm not sorry, I'm not sorry, I'm not sorry...

Now, 

You are happy that you lived life as your younger self exactly the way you did.
