Sorry

Sorry

I decide one night

That I’m finally going to go a day without

Saying Sorry Sorry Oh Sorry

I apologize and it loses its meaning

I say something then I hope it doesn’t offend

So I Say Sorry Sorry Oh Sorry

Not thinking about what it should’ve really meant

So I’m Sorry Sorry Oh Sorry

I have created a bubble of protection

That I feel I can fill by saying Sorry

What does it really mean?

I need to step back

I need to say what I am thinking

Without an apology

I need to let a joke go by without worrying

Without saying a meaningless Sorry

We are taught as a kid that it means

We’ll never do it again

So Sorry Sorry Oh Sorry

Words aren’t to be thrown around

Like breathing or a heartbeat

Know what you want to say

And it will be ok

Know what you stand for

Don’t back away

Enjoy what you believe to be right

State your opinions

Make them become a light

To those who are too afraid to speak their mind

Sorry Sorry Oh Sorry

No more

I cannot apologize for this

I only know what I believe

Because to me you need to stand for what has true meaning

No more Sorry Sorry Oh Sorry

What you say matters

You can open up the mind of the people around you

No more Sorry Sorry Oh Sorry

Say what you think

Or expect no one to know who you

Truly are

So I’m Sorry Oh Sorry

I’ll say you no more
