Sorry

I am sorry that we are

not star crossed lovers

but I am tongue tied instead

I'm sorry you whisper sweet things

and I stutter and say nothing

because my feelings are stuck

in the melody of my heartbeat

I will never be enough

but  I will love you

quietly

softly

always.
