Sorry...
ignition stands still
past recognition
it’s not what i promised
it’s not what i’d planned
i’m sorry
if i could take it back i would
it was all in the moment
the timing
my fault
yet you take the blame
and you say
you’re okay
but it’s not your place
to say
you’re okay
because if i could go
back to the start
fix what began
i’d never stop being sorry
it’s not what i planned
it’s a promise
past a moment in time
it’s a promise
not in fact due to rhyme
with that same sulking rhythm
i cry in the night
for when i’m without you
it never feels right
yet i live on knowing
ignition stands still
past recognition
it’s not what i promised
and it’s not what i’d planned
still you take the blame
and you say you're okay
but it's not your place
to say
you're okay
because
ignition stands still
past recognition
it’s not what i promised
and it’s not what i’d planned
