Sorry to interrupt
When I show up to your office
it's just a room of judgment
you look displeased and bored
even though you said our time would be well-spent
"Come to my office hours," you said to the entire class with a smile
So I showed up on Wednesday morning.
"I'm a freshman," I muttered
As a shield against your glare
Maybe you'd take pity on me
But I've never seen eyes roll so far back into someone's head
I would have been impressed
if I weren't traumatized
You really should enter yourself in an eye-rolling contest!
You'd take top prize.
You acted like you were doing brain surgery
and I walked into the operating room
I glance at your computer
You minimize your Facebook
I pretend I didn't see
But I did
You should post a status about our encounter:
Tried to show student my impressive eye-roll talent. She yelled, "I'm a freshman," and ran out of my office.
I'll chalk it up to misunderstanding
Good luck at the National Eye-rolling Convention!
