Sort of believing ... Thought Pattern

Mark 7:20-22 New English Translation (NET Bible)

20 He said, “What comes out of a person defiles him. 21 For from within, out of the human heart, come evil ideas, sexual immorality, theft, murder, 22 adultery, greed, evil, deceit, debauchery, envy, slander, pride, and folly.

Proverbs 21:2 New English Translation (NET Bible)

All a person’s ways seem right in his own opinion, but the Lord evaluates, his thoughts.

It starts with a thought

“Sort of believing” that is a new one, most are so definite.

Are not most wavering in all kinds of doctrine?

What appears right or wrong to the human mind

seems to water down foundational truth.

Opinions rule this world as divided friends we stand.

Holding hands together as all things appear well.

Now the time is coming when storms are undermining

the very foundation with symptoms and we just have no clue.

When the near to us are slipping we let go of their hands.

We put on a grieving face as they are slowly sinking.

We have a hand free now to wave them goodbye

as we huddle together and are left with very few.

Yes, the time is here now and I am slowly sinking.

The one who was next to me let go of my hand.

He is kindly waving with the eyes full of pity

watching the crumbling me slide towards my doom.

We trusted in abortion and adultery seems all right

To be a homosexually orientated is really not too bad.

Divorce seems not abnormal as in cheating on your wives

But time is now to pay the piper for the price of sin’s dues.

It never appeared too bad to live the way I wanted.

You know freedom is to do what you feel or want.

The master of deceit had it all figured long ago

So he gave me what I hungered for as his lies became my truth.
