S.O.S. of a 12th Grader

Emotions are whirling
Stress finds me everywhere
Sometimes I just want to be alone
I don't know how much of this I can bear

"Be involved in clubs! Get good grades!
Have community service time to lend?
Social life is a must!"
When will this ever end?

18 is getting closer
Yet responsibility is so far away
Time to get a job
Since college is too hard to pay

Scholarships are the key
But then again, there are so many
I hope I'm chosen
Out of a million and ninety

Choosing the right major
Hmm... what could it be?
Business? Art? Law? Acting?
Stress, I beg you to stop following me

Everyone looks up to me
Everyone expects me to be the best
Don't they realize its hard to be perfect?
Especially when I freak out at stupid tests?

So here's my way of survival
Through humor and rhyming
I'll reach the peak of success
Even if its some tough rock climbing

Really enjoyable poem and truthful. It's stressful these days. Great job.
