Soul

In a warm spring afternoon I watch With all the luck I have, I will not botch I would never need to control Never! All you do from your soul Sit there, all I can do is envy Patiently, there now, I witness your grace Smoothly, swiftly, here, my eyes fall on your face Man, I want this with all my soul Oh how much I wish we might stroll Under the moon, sky dark as coal Stars so bright and white, so that I might Hold you, find your pain, and console My heart thumps with the force of a bass Let the beat of my heart stop the tears, console So that my sight might take your fright, in this place That is my everlasting goal I come back, I wish I could make this true But you don’t, could you ever, have a clue do you I wish to make you feel this, in your soul This emotion takes its toll And, as I sit and listen to this rock and roll, Again, your graceful face finds my soul And on me now, your eyes have set their sight You smile, and you can see my soul
