Soul

I have morals, but are they morally correct?
If so to whom do they please?
I walked into a circle of veterans as a warrior,
But walked into the public & become a stranger.

My soul is old,
But my flesh is young.
At the retirement home the residents ask me how u doing old-timer?
I stroll into McDonalds & the employees say, whatsup my nigga?

I try to satisfy all people, but that is impossible
I've developed alopecia, so I'm losing hair.
My dysfunctional family wants me to function with them.
My lazy friends want me to do them favors.
My wife wants a husband,
How dare she want something she can't have.
My kids want a father I never had. How dare they ask for something I never had.
I have morals, but they aren't morally correct for you.

In my opinion, morals are spiritually created because there are things one's heart agrees on and the mind doesn'tand vice versa. It's just which the person decides to follow at the particular moment. So, there is a right and wrong, but we all live with different circumstances; therefore, it is sometimes difficult identifying what is right or wrong for the person. Occasionally, we get caught into making others happy and neglecting our necessities like taking care of our health.

For instance, it maybe wrong to run away, but what if the person is being abused in their home. Is it wrong to runaway then? I doubt because the person's life is in danger.

But in society's eye the person maybe wrong. Until society is notified about what the person or child has been going through.

Therefore, it is a fine line of right and wrong, but the key to understanding the line may take sometime, patience, acceptance, and judge.

Take time to understand reasoning. Patience will humble you no matter how wild the event may be. Accept whatever happen or situation. Then, judge if the runaway's decision was right or wrong.

How well though-out and eloquently stated! I agree, morals are very subjective. Sometimes we tend to generalize morals, and sometimes I feel that we also tend to force morals upon ourselves, even though they don't feel right to us, or we don't feel comfortable with them. Inside, we know we want something else, thrive on something else, but confine ourselves within the moral values of society or what we want to believe SHOULD be right. But ultimately, aren't morals just human inventions, creations of the mind? So is anything really right or wrong?
