Soul

What's that? She whispered. Your soul is all she heard. The dark shadow laid beside her in bed, while she wiped away every burning tear that was shed. She opened her eyes, every painful feeling came back, all the lies. The doubts, the emptiness, the broken heart, she felt it all, she was falling so deeply apart. Why? She whispered in her crying voice. My heart fell, and it wasn't all by choice. I want you to feel the burn, that's what she heard without an ounce of concern. She looked up at the ceiling, as dark as she felt. She felt the flames as her soul began to melt. He crushed her heart and played with her mind. He just left her there, no explanation, just blind. Did he mean anything he said? She cried out loud. Or was my head just in a stormy cloud? You needed to learn a lessen about your soul. Now wipe your tears, let it go. Take my hand and let's walk through the fire where you can be whole. She turned on the light, she knew she had to fight. The dark shadow was all in her head, And she knew if she let him, her soul would be completely dead. She put her hand on her heart, She whispered, no, it's time for a new start!
