Soul Bloom

A young girl about 4 sits on her mommy’s lap

Where did the time go the mother wants to recap

The father adores the daughter and she adores him as well

The family bond is so strong, perfection the parents could tell

Fast forward to the teen years full of confusion and change

For the daughter it was much worse for her it was so strange

She was lost she had urges she thought no one else had

She realized it was an eating disorder she just felt so bad

She was so far gone even the treatment doctors said

If she doesn’t start improving she’s going to end up dead

Lost at the thought the daughter had tears in her eyes

She never wanted this to make her die

She wanted to be skinny and pretty and perfect

But she didn’t thing it through now she was an addict

Addicted to her thoughts she tried to fight

During this struggle she learned how to make it right

She faught the fight and learned lessons she lacked

But now I am so glad that I have myself back

I learned to love myself as much as I could

I knew I could get through it, I knew that I would
