Soul Food

Most people strive to be someone's eye candy
A beat face and a bubbly personality
And yes that's nice and dandy
But how can you connect with spirituality
Being something that just last for a day?
I prefer to be soul Food
Where I can connect with someone in many ways
And have them crave me when they are in the mood
For an intellectual snack
Or fill them with the care that they prefer
And yes some people may think that it's  whack
But their opinion is of their own reserve
But I just want you to think of your dinner tonight
Will it be bubble gum and lollipops?
Or will it be hearty, well cooked, and just right?
And then you'll stop
And say…
Most people strive to be someone's eye candy
A beat face and a bubbly personality
And yes that's nice and dandy
But where's the soul food?
