Soul Love

Should my soul decide its time to move on Or should my body decide to stop playing host This carcass I carry myself around in Is the part of me that's going to suffer most But maybe it's surplus to my requirements now? Perhaps it's time to set it free? It's not the source of me so I don't mind My soul is the source of me... I've travelled many a mile in this frame of mine But it's starting to slow me down It's the age of me that gets in the way So I'm not prepared to stay here and drown. Maybe it's time to wrestle with myself Maybe it's time to explore Maybe the best of me has been and gone Then again it may be behind a new door. No soul on earth will finally be found Without first realising it's lost But before I depart from the safety of my host I got to consider the cost. How will it affect my family? If my soul is an independent fool Eager to spread his wings and fly Breaking my hearts golden rule How will it affect the man in me If I'm to become free of this, my carriage I've lived, I've loved, I've laughed, I've cried So I don't feel no justice miscarriage
