Soul Sister
Time, such a strange creature
My dear friend, I sit and wonder
Where have the years gone?
One minute we're strangers
I blink, 6 years have gone by
Best Friends Forever is what we've always promised
oh but who would've thought, every up and down
At times I've had my worries-
now we're closer than ever
I think back to our days of innocence
Cries of joy, at the memory that started this oh so special bond
Not a single worry in mind
Nothing but laughter and awkward smiles
Flash Forward
Drama here, drama there
Equipped with all the worries of the real word
But through it all
We stay strong and reminisce
Oh, those were the days!
I only pray that 60 years from now,
if we should no longer be on this great Earth
Our legacy, the legacy of best friends
Be told to everyone
Be an inspiration to future generations
That they profess how we made remarkable breakthroughs
Within our careers, within our lifetimes
But the most astonishing discovery was the one we made together
Becoming Friends, Becoming Sisters
