Soul Surfer

The mighty crashing on the sandy beach The rising sun adorns the fleeting scene A juicy yellow flesh that’s called a peach Reflects the light and makes the sea now seen The chopping of a fin between the wave A touch of salt consumes my sense of smell The seaweed stubble needs a trim and shave The ocean waves and gives a warming yell A yell is now a scream for one to help A shark has turned the ocean dark and red The peaceful noise is now a frightened yelp The bite destroyed a dream and torn to shred All beauty fades and good will never last Now all is lost in what will be the past
