Soulless

Does anyone know how it feels to be empty?

The once cheerful, loving, energic, full of life girl is gone

Looking in the mirror every day and seeing an empty spot

A spot so empty you could see the bottomless pit

A spot that once held a soul

The soul was so bright it lit up other souls in a room just by smiling

A soul that once had hope that everything would be ok

A soul that vowed to never give up

A soul that tried so hard to not to see the bad in people

A soul that wanted nothing but good

Sadly, not all souls can stay as strong as other souls can

This soul was not protected enough to stay pure

Events that burned pain into this soul’s eyes

Feelings that tainted the soul

People that betrayed the soul

Actions that cut the soul

Words the eventually broke the soul

Soon the soul couldn’t take it all anymore

The vow this bundle of joy once mad broke

Everything slipping away

Piece by piece

All the grace this soul once held was sadly gone

The grace that held so much pureness slipped away
