Soulless World

I am lost In a world of grief Pain and misery, No one can find one Blue soul among all The gray and soulless. A bright blue spark Flashes from afar, Run away or run towards? Running away means More of this selfish drivel, Till the end Of one’s existence. As I run, I hope for Recognition in the Rain of the soulless world, For love and happiness In a world Of hate, death, and decay. As I run, a realization hits, I stop and hesitate, What if this is all there is To life and existence? What would the point be, Especially if it is a loss Of one so precious to This dark existence? Knowing will occur, Eventually, So will death for everyone. Whether we die today, Tomorrow, or next week, In a car, a plane or a train, Or even in our sleep, at home, Killed by our inhibition.
