Souls
And I came to believe
That in each one
There is this desire to be seen
To be known
And to be accepted
To be loved for who one is
Not for what they’ve done or shall do
A naked soul
That is embraced by another
This is what you are to me
You somehow wrecked the walls I’ve built
Stripped the armor off
Gently took the clothes of too
And now
Here I am. Naked in front of you
The first time I’m seen
You see me
You get me
You love me for me
You accept me
Your arms became the blanket on the cold days
Your kisses the pillow
When I sleep I think of you
But now I have sheets
Where are you
Are you just a memory?
When my cheek touches the pillow I feel you
I smell you
I can hear your heartbeat
Souls... a mystical territory
Because now we are connected
On another realm
Somewhere far away
Seen as if it was watched through a stained glass mirror
Never have I found harmony like this before
Between my mind, my heart my body and soul
And you
And as we’re climbimg up the pentatonic scale
I’ve learned more about myself by being with you , then I’ve had through solitude
You enriched me
My life
My being
I wear you, us , like garments round my neck
Though you are not here
Yet you are
And will always be
