The Sound of Jazzzz
Heart thrums wildly,
To the beat of the music.
Fingers thump loudly,
Dancing to the drums.
Feet tap noiselessly,
To the rhythm in the air.
Bodies sway side to side,
To the sound of the trumpet.
Smiles dance across my face,
In tune with the lyrics.
Air swishes around the room,
Morphing with the dancers.
Cheers feel the open air.
Long after the music ends.
It’s the sound of hope.
It’s the sound of fear.
It’s the sound of JAZZZZ.
