Sound of Sadness

The sound of sadness came rolling in

Soundless at first, slow and steady.

Low in thrum, turning into a low hum.

The sound of Sadness never sounded so sweet.

The slow melancholy came rolling in

Sounding so mournful, so deep.

It played one last soulful beat,

before slipping back into the somber sweep.
