Sound Waves

The best kinds of sound waves

Are those made to entertain

To relax, to comfort, and ease all pain

To pump and excite then settle down

And to simply change

They find their way, appeal to my ears

Up and down and level

Like my thoughts when I hear them

Go bright and dim, loud and soft

And somehow all and more at once

Another note another wave

All so different yet much the same

Blend to be both calm and untamed

But I feel as they are – in precise symmetry

With a steady tempo and perfect harmony
