Sounds of High School

The locker closed,

and clicked with a latch.

The shoes in the hallway squeaked,

as the athletes cruised down.

The sound of the bell echoed,

as the voices resumed throughout the school.

The voices chattered with laughter,

but could hear the gasped words of gossip.

Bags popped in the lunchroom,

when the food jumped out of the bag.

End of the day excitement,

made carkeys jingle with joy.

Cars start and drive away,

before the clock struck 2:30.
