Sounds of My Soul

While life came crashing down

I could only hear one sound

That was the simple melody

You made to take care of me

While we are miles apart

You are close in my heart

With messages so bold and proud

Singing into the uproaring crowd

You help my soul awake

And numb every ache

Faded keys, dented things, and lovely mysteries

Yet you still chose me

Music of my soul

Music of my life

Thank you for making each day worthwhile and bright
