Sounds That Silence the Darkness

No one to see me,

No one to help me,

No one around me to comfort or heal me

Screaming inside my head, panic sweeps over my body,

Logic and reason all escape, leaving me with my insanity

Yearning to let it all out, to express my anxiety,

Building up pressure, the emotions inside of me

I collapse under the weight of my life with all the stress and fears,

Unable to find relief in anything, just waiting for the tears

Yet instead of salty streams pouring down my face,

Sweet, angelic sounds dance through the air with grace

My Voice! Carrying the negativity out of my soul,

Letting it brighten and gather the pieces to make it again whole

So pure as it releases my grief,

Out into the world leaving me in relief

The sun to my earth which is my beating heart,

My Voice lightens my world which none can tear apart

The sparkle in my eyes, the color of my personality, I will say without a doubt,

My Voice is the one spectacular thing I could never live without
