The sounds that surround me

The silence is peaceful, but never everlasting.

I feel a slight rumble, and then anxiety has consumed me,

Under the covers, curled up into a ball, I shake.

I cry silently.

Everyday,

Everynight,

As routine as day and night.

I grow tired of this endless cycle.

I decide I need to STOP.

Stop hiding under the covers.

Stop curling into a ball.

Stop shaking in fear.

Stop crying silently.

I decide to snap out of the all consuming fear of the unknown sounds

And take my life back.

So now there is peaceful silence and it is everlasting.
