Sounds On Waves

I speak too loudly

     my words echo across rooms,

and my voice is harsh after crying.

             But I don't silence myself

until I'm told to. I don't hide my thoughts

I let my face speak for me.

Because even if my mouth can't sound it out,

I'll find a way to let the people around me know what I'm thinking.

I can't keep things to myself.

I have to let people know.
