space

i hate space okay? i said it

but when i think of love it’s out of this world

just barely able to reach but you gotta try really hard

shoot for the stars they say

and i stare at those glistening sparks

so stupid, so naive

but they match the ones in my heart.

and this thing i heard that the moon

is so beautiful to the eye

but take a picture of it and it’s just any other ball of light

that’s us, we live in the moment

its just so hard online .

i’m on this planet but you’re on another

and i’ll send out signals

but it feels like i’m all alone

maybe you’re out there

but i still hate space okay?

why can’t we just be together?
