Space

I’m struggling

Gasping for air

Blackness is forming around me

I can feel it

Coming up my legs

Closer and closer

To my heart

Coming up to my face

Freeze.

It stops.

I see the light

I reach, reach for that speck

It floats away

But how?

I’m in space

I must be delusional

Of course I am

How can I be in space

And see a speck of light float?

I close my eyes and breathe

I’m suffocating

In what, I’m not sure

I reach, reach for that speck.

I got it, in my hand

Boom!

I open my eyes

I’m alive

And not in space

I almost died,

In my dreams
