Spark

What started as a spark has flashed into a flame

No one is innocent but no one is to blame

It burned down the walls that we built up together

But then everything dims because there is no forever

Words of love have turned to words of hate

If this isn’t love then I don’t believe in fate

You know all my secrets and use them as bullets

Even though me in your arms was a perfect fit

The world spins as we go in your circles

What was once a big love is now so little

A broken frame didn’t make us any less perfect

My heart can’t be free because you’re the one who took it

Forgiveness is the key to the box of our lives

But you continue to break my heart with your knives

You’ve locked our love away, never to return

My skin is bare with only your burns

What makes this pain worth the next yet to come

Who you are now is someone I have never heard from

Promise me you’ll never forget our greatest memories

That’s one thing you’ll always owe to me
