Spark

Voices in the dark

Madness, that defiant spark

Words, Rhythm, Poetry, Rhyme

Escape, Express

The Truth is mine.

My speech on paper,

The world unkind,

Speak out with thunder

Expand your mind.

Broken family, Breaking home

Pencil, Pen, I’m patching holes.

Screaming fonts, Punctuated silence

Words have power beyond this violence.

I’m reaching out, crawling in,

Purging, Birthing, Dropping tears.

Transform, Transcend, Remain the same,

Whatever it takes,

They’ll know my name.
