a spark

the strings of a guitar

drift softly to my ears:

a spark.

the taste of a chocolate cake

sweet on my tongue:

a spark.

the beautiful world

I see around me:

a spark.

the smell of the earth

after it has rained:

a spark.

the flame in my soul

is made

by sparks.
