Speak

Speak

Laurie Halse Anderson

thank you

For helping me

find my voice to speak

about my experience

with sexual assault

my friend and I

are trying to start

Up a program

The Survivors

Melinda and her experience

has moved me to somewhere

I thought I would never get to

but here today

speaking up about how someone took

something away from me

I will always be grateful

for how amazing you are

Thank you.
