What does being a poet mean to me?

It means for once I can actually be free

Verbally, all my words are incomplete

But mentally, my mind fills in the blanks my voice couldnt speak

So I write them down and somehow they all flow perfectly

What does being a poet mean to me?

It means I have the chance for younger generations to hear me speak

Im pretty sure it 's because poems are rhythimic and have certain beat 

That allows a passage way for them to get into it while also getting deep.

What does being a poet mean to me?

It means that my sense of imagery isnt just kid thing.

Its a escaping door when reality comes a bit faster than I think.

And a reminder that words on paper are not just anything

Their what life has taught me so I do not repeat the same thing

Being a poet... Its naturally me.
