Speak Out.

Our passions go out

Not with a bang but a whimper

Not with a whimper but a whisper

Not with a whisper but a shout

Our world was painted grey

We were all just a child

We didn’t  know for a while

The rapists, the guns, the terrorists, the gay

Over the years, we have grown

We discover ourselves

Into life we delve

And we expand on what we have known

After all the lessons we’ve been taught

Some are timid

Some are livid

Some raise their voices against the lot

There has been a great epidemic nationwide

In a world full of strangers

Neighbors no longer are neighbors

There has come a great divide

So when can we stand up to this?

We are no longer ignorant pups

We all have the potential to be heard

Only if we turn our volume up
