Speak to Save

A world that is crumbling

The souls and the hope of those disappearing

The sullen are beginning to take over

The light starting to dim for most,

But not me.

A light beginning to shine through me

To help others is all I have wanted

Verbal communication and natural human care

No perscriptions or personality changers,

Only trust, love, and listening.

For I remember when I was sullen

I never thought life could hold such a bright light

I was taught differently from one who I aspire to be

Being shown human lives take precedent over all else

After college I will be a therapist.

Finally in my place

Not only help for my patients but for myself

Communication to keep more than one sane

Few contain the skills to save with words

I will be one of the gifted.
