Special

I remember my younger years in a two parent home the words home and parent used loosely because i always felt alone i reminisce about the pain and the man who inflicted it the mother who dodged every punch but never seemed to miss it the male siblings newly born young in knowledge and age seemed to act as a shadow escaping all the rage but my sisters and i seemed stuck in the middle of that one abusive man and the woman he belittled this continued on and on until i was about three god bless the social workers who came to rescue me i didnt understand it then so i began to cry then looked over at my mother and saw that her eyes were dry wouldnt you have liked to been a fly upon the wall to see this tragic scene take place but not one single tear fall from the eyes of that mother who just stood there and stared like she was either frozen with fear or seeing and hearing impaired but as time passed she fought or so she claimed to get back the four children she carried, birthed, and named thought there was one child who she carlessly left behind but one day she will realize one day i swear she'll find that the child she left alone will be a great success and though you left he abandoned she's still highly loved and blessed and if you were to ask who that blessed girl should be i'd look at you and smile and say that special girl is me
