To the special one
To the one I am still yet to be over with.
My dearest, left me heart broken and shattered.
Although it didn't last long thou, my heart still belongs to you.
Lately I’ve been feeling quite distant.
Uncertain if I should be regretting befriending you and becoming a partner.
I cherished you with my heart, though it did not feel right.
I thought forever…but I was just fantasizing.
I gave you my best yet you ran away.
Was it all too much, my darling?
Has my love left you nervous, or did you not desire my love and attention? My obsession? My infatuation?
Perhaps one day you’ll run back to me as I hoped…until I was completely removed from your heart.
Does it hurt even a bit when you look at the picture of me in your dearest locket?
Will the remembrance of my love still be with you?
No matter how long it’s been… My heart leaps every time I hear your name.
Weeks have gone by, my Darling.
Can you still hear my calls?
Can you still see my letters?
Perhaps you can still hear my voice? Or am I completely gone?
Perhaps I was only a friend with a different label than others? Was I special like how you were special to me? You were gone so apace…
Perhaps this was all my fault our ways separated…
Perhaps…

Deeply personal heartbreak and obsession with specific lost relationship.
Multiple emotional ideas per section; questions and reflections densely packed.
Overwhelmingly negative: heartbreak, rejection, doubt, self-blame throughout.
Restless questioning and emotional turbulence but meditative pacing overall.
Approximately 25-28 lines; falls in 16-30 range.
Limited metaphors (heart, locket); mostly direct emotional declaration.
Pure lyric internal monologue; intimate first-person introspection throughout.
