A Special Thanks


Sometimes you wonder if it's all worth it                    

If the drills and labor mean anything                            

But your country is glad you didn't quit.                                    

For your proof is in the song that we sing.          

Counting down the days to see your loved ones.      

Or for when you have no more therapy.                        

But you risk your lives to save the millions.                  

And when your home, we'll be your canopy.                

Seeing the famous profit more than you.        

Makes me confused of where our country stands    

For I know what you do and are put through.                        

They're on the carpet, while your life's in strands.                

Ignorance. An apology is due.                                                                

For you deserve everything in the banks.                  

I just hope you accept my special thanks
