Special Word

You’ve got your own thing going on In another city somewhere far Played it cool, but inside I’m so lost Strange scenarios playing in my head Late at night rolling around in bed I’m reaching out but all I hold is your echo I know you said you’re there but here It’s like tracing the lines that’s been erased You try so hard to remember but it’s not the same You might be in a new city with a new car Would a new girl be under your arms You can tell her she’s pretty or she’s smart but save that special word for me You can share all the laughs, and kisses, and hugs but save that special word for me You can have a new life that’s moving so fast but don’t forget that special word for me Don’t forget you love me, love me, love me Because I still love you, love you, love you Blooming flowers in our favorite park looks like a million lost little stars But when you’re standing next to me It feels like they all belong When you find a new favorite place to be Would you call and share it with me I want to hear those reassuring words Can you tell me you love me again Can you say it like the first time you did Like you meant forever, you love me You love me, you love me, love me
