The Spectral Army, or Blaengarw

I watched, as the Spectral Army descended the ridge;

Not a whisper, not a sound could be heard,

for It was Day’s Bane, and It was not yet time for Day to rise;

The Moon hung high over all, impassionately observing,

as Its children marched out to war,

armed with a cloak of teardrops and secrets and the last memories of times long past;

The Spectral Army, It came in droves, in waves,

the only sign of Its passing the light dappling of Its heart's-blood,

marking the spaces and forms below, breathing life into new buds,

enveloping all in the billowing folds of Its mantle ;

It was unstoppable, inevitable, indomitable,

For It was the Spectral Army, and this was It's time to Rise;

And the Seas and Mountains and Forests in Its path willingly submitted to Its rule,

for they knew, that though many had tried,

thought many had fought and bled and died for the attempt,

it always came back, stronger than death and twice as wicked,

For this, this was the Spectral Army, and nothing could stand in Its way.
