Spew
Plastic fibers spew
from a singular light source.
Alas, here we are
guided by the source, and its premeditated mold,
dating back to the founding fathers.
They decided upon a simple educational ranking
workers, builders, designers, and chairmen.
They trudged and taught future generations.
The American Dream became an actuality through dirty means,
They now bend the optic cables, and point them at the source.
Instead of creating stars upon the night sky,
They replicate shrines to a one track system.
We regurgitate information,
it soon becomes second nature.
We judge and exclude each other through education,
The time of the true 'artist' is dead; instead
we accept commerce into our hearts, and thus
the previously wandering stars in the sky become simple points of light.
Instead of contemplation, interaction, and philosophy
we only have suicide, transactions, and self centered ideologies.
We test and record new information on a daily basis,
only to regurgitate it or be passed up for bad citizenship.
Work hard for one hundred percent of your life,
and maybe you'll be able to afford a retirement.
We force our future generations into a rat hole,
while we are still stuck in it clawing at one another.
And yet we argue semantics and not wonder why
they replicate shrines to a one track system.
Instead of creating stars upon the night sky,
they now bend the optic cables, and point them at the source.
The American Dream became an actuality through dirty means,
they trudged and taught future generations.
Workers, builders, designers, and chairmen.
They decided upon a simple educational ranking
dating back to the founding fathers.
Guided by the source, and its premeditated mold,
alas, here we are
from a singular light source
plastic fibers spew
We are told to shoot for the stars,
What if the stars lie?
To us but distant objects,
are just plastic wires.
Somewhere we can't see,
the wires come together,
Only synthetic stars.
