a spiral
i want to know the curves of your body
better than archimedes
i want to paint them in the sand
and derive their formulae
and know why and how they came to be
i want to be so enraptured in their image
that i die standing before them
with death knocking on my door
and receiving no answer.
i live in the space between your thigh and denim fold
in the gap between your secret space and the cover-up
closed, dark, and thick with your mysteries
it’s beautiful here
so let me show you your worth by
undressing and redressing the wounds.
i want to feel those curves
and parabolas and arcs
and feel your soft electrifying skin
cool with defeatism and facades
and warm with sensitivities and icarus’s dreams
let my hands fall all over you
i’ll be gentle.
i know the door is swung open
but you can trust me
cause i would tear these hands off before i let them harm you
god said to remove the source of the sin
and i would never hesitate to do so
if it meant you were safe and warm
and your coolness could fade away
by the light of my fire.
