Spiral
A beautiful catastrophe spiraling,
Thoughts racing voices whisper.
Compile a list keep busy,
World spinning she’s dizzy.
Antisocial but can keep the conversation going for days,
Her days blend into one it’s hazy.
Nothing lasts forever why bother,
Whispers are the father,
Of all fears they say it proper.
They keep her pushed down till she’s on the floor,
Her life is a bore,
Her heart no longer pours.
Love is but a trickle, worth a nickel.
At least the whispers say but I can’t keep them at bay,
He won’t beg you to stay,
Life is no cliche.
Pay attention to the truth I’m trying to convey,
Pain, betrayal, and grief is a face seen often
They’ll stay with her even at her coffin.
Faces cause love, happiness, and peace’s foundation to soften and crumble.
Incapable of maintaining feelings,
She stares at the ceiling giving mental beatings,
Until she’s pleading tears streaming.
She’s only gleaming when she’s dreaming.
When awake she finds a way to cope,
It’s her only hope when the whispers are like a rope
Around her neck ahead is a slope,
And they want to elope.
But then she thinks of him and it’s a nope.
You could see this ruin without a scope
But they’ll keep her in an endless dance in a trance stuck in a romance.
