Spirit
I don't move with the seasons, I don't flow with the wind, but over time, still,
I change and reform, becoming apart of the landscape.
I rarely move, not even if the earth does, and not even with the people's will, do I move.
I am unseen by eyes who only see size of houses and the figures of the body,
and not the inside of them.
Yet, I dwell inside those vain eyes as well,
though most would not believe.
I push men to drive to their dreams, to reach deep within themselves,
and make them scream with agony and joy.
Though many times I'm ill written of,
I do provide a path, yourself, as a solution to seek.
I am pushing you, and though you push me down, I cannot be ignored.
I am the spirit, and freedom is what I should be named,
for I am what you search for daily.
