Spirit of Creation

From the void it starts

an incessant need

to fill our hearts

our spirits feed

Breaths slow and still

an eye turned to see

a hope to fill

a life to free

A song is there

Soft and light

It is held with care

Not ready for sight

Yet it still strives

to itself break free

to touch other lives

that they may see

A human heart

that far from full

each note apart

will fill the soul

Yet still it waits

for someone to hear

to open the gates

and be sung in every ear

This poem is about:
Me
Our world
