Spirit of the Sun

As times change and myths are sculpted

we see the gods once reverred

move alongside humanity,

evolving and ever-adjusting

to our trends, culture, and norms.

Apollo, the god of

healing,

sunlight,

poetry;

all things we hold dear even to this day.

We see the spirit of Apollo

cresting the waves of the ocean on sunny days

with rays of light shining on tanned skin of surfers,

and dancing in the harmonic tones of a song

aspiring musicians strum on the guitar,

and holding steady a surgeon's hand as they save the lives

so their patients may return to their concerned families.

The God of the Sun, of Music, of Healing

is each and every one of these things

and more;

despite the change in technology, in discoveries,

we still hold these same values

and Apollo lives on.
