Psalm 37:25 

25 I was once young, now I am old.
I have never seen a godly man abandoned,
or his children forced to search for food.

 

Where the Lord is ... the Spirit supplies

 

Nothing is truly possible in our own understanding

only forms of righteousness without true support.

To undergird and divide truth from in-deciding

and the “way” of life ... to come to a full accord.

 

1 John 5:7-8 

7 For there are three that testify, 8 the Spirit and the water and the blood, and these three are in agreement.

 

Oh, Spirit of truth ... how oft have I ignored you?

Oh, Spirit divine ... how oft I’ve not paid attention?

You showed me obedience and wanted to help me

but like always it seems ... it gleamed at my pretension.

 

The flaws of my desires ... built on selfishness

Amazing is Your patience being Your true confession

You showed me sanctified ... and part of God’s family.

You placed gently all blessings ... before me in recognition.

 

1Peter 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

 

Showers close and far ... all are provided by Thee

For me to share with others ... for a new refreshing

Always ready to guide me despite my stubborn will.

Deeming it a ploy ... to oppose Him in my daily actions

 

1 Corinthians 12:8-9 

8 For one person is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, and another the message of knowledge according to the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,

 

The wisdom and knowledge then surfaces uninterrupted

if I accept Your willfulness ... in its purest form.

Surely then Your promises won’t get corrupted

by my flesh’s explanation since it’s so forlorn.
