Spiritual Things for Spiritual men

Romans 8:16 New English Translation (NET Bible) 16 The Spirit himself bears witness to our spirit that we are God’s children. My flesh tries to reason with the Lord my mind then taking charge. It simply states what it thinks and reasons below par. It figures out the answers and proclaims it as “the” truth. Depravity at its best and perfection patched and glued. Emotion directs the mind as it picks up from the flesh, all the things the flesh desires and justifies that mess. The will is on the sideline don’t want to be involved. Don’t want accountability when the Truth is told. It manufactures excuses as on an assembly line. Oh brother! Aren’t we doing well is it not mighty fine? All this domination of what is called “my-self” quenches the spirit too so small that he gets lost on a dusty shelf. Is it up to You, dear Lord to locate my failing spirit. You know Lord, I don’t know Why can't my spirit get involved? I talk and rattle all the time to just get my spirit’s attention. I guess he just doesn’t care because I am feeling fine. It is sad to understand that unless Spirit to spirit The Lord cannot talk to us That's just a simple fact. Our Lord cannot get through to us to help and give the just direction in what we think and what we feel for that’s our chosen addiction. Jan Wienen
