Spiritual Warfare

As the tide rolls in Pushing the sand into my heart Into my physical body Unfiltered Then suddenly washing it away Just as quickly as the previous And the next Sand still remains A new beginning each minute The previous second, minute, hour and day All in the past Yes I know But the sand crabs are pinching Pinching at my conscience I ask the wind to calm my soul The pinching I ignore Longing to be restored I’m being swept away Far out into the sea For whom do I scream? People who are drowning too I call for HIM And abruptly The pinching subsides And I’m brought back to shore And provided a new heart A protected soul
